Support Through the School Years
School brings new demands, academic, social, and emotional, all at once. We help your child build the skills to navigate the classroom, the playground, and everything in between, through individualized behavioral support that travels with them across settings. Whether your child already has an IEP or 504 plan in place, or you're just starting to notice they're struggling to keep up, we're here to help you figure out the right next step.
Our Approach
This stage is when academic, social, and emotional demands start to stack up. We work with school-age children who are:
Navigating a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD, or another developmental or learning difference
Struggling with challenging behavior, emotional regulation, or social skills at school or at home
Working through an IEP, 504 plan, or evaluation process
Building independence with routines, homework, and daily responsibilities
You don't need a formal diagnosis or an IEP already in place to reach out. If school feels harder than it should, that's reason enough to start the conversation.
Every plan starts with your child, not a checklist. We build support around what's actually happening in their classroom and at home, and adjust as they grow rather than sticking to a fixed program.
We stay in close contact with your child's teachers, pediatrician, and any other providers already involved, so strategies stay consistent everywhere your child spends their day and you're part of the process at every step.
What We Offer
Every service below is offered in-home, at daycare or school, out in the community, or remotely by video call, whatever fits your family best.
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Behavior always has a reason behind it, even when it's hard to see in the moment. An FBA looks closely at what's happening before, during, and after a behavior to understand what your child is really communicating, so the support that follows addresses the root cause instead of just the surface.
Behavior Support Planning
Once we understand what's driving a behavior, we build a clear, practical plan that your child's teachers and caregivers can actually follow, so strategies stay consistent everywhere your child spends their day.
School Consultation
We work directly with your child's school team, IEP meetings included, to keep everyone working from the same page and advocate for what your child actually needs.
Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)
If your child is moving through an IEP evaluation or reevaluation, it helps to have someone in your corner who isn't tied to the school system. An independent evaluation gives you a clear, outside look at your child's needs, so you can advocate for the right support with confidence.
